I was wondering what everyone does with box log books when they get
full. Do you make a scrap book for that box? Also has anyone
changed personal log books? How did you transfer the stamps?

We've not yet had a log book fill up, either personal or one placed with a
stamp, but I plan on memorializing them when they do. In the case of our
personal log book, I'm getting ready to replace it, so I'm going to take and
make a new log book, handmade cover and all, and carefully cut the stamps
from the existing book and then mount those, one to a page, in the
handcrafted one. Add notes and such on the find and make a logbook that
will keep well, and use the old one for the trails. I'm also going to scan
in the stamps so that I have a permanent record of them.
As far as the letterbox log books, I'll more than likely scan those in to
immortalize them and may move them to a new log book as well for future
keeping.

I do somethign a little different. I carry index sized cardstock with me as
my persoanl logbook and stamp my fidns onto that, then mount it into a
scrapbook with pictures and notes. I have sperates books for gatherings and
PLBs.
As far as letterbox logs, I plan to do something similar-- mount the logbook
into a scrapbook of some sort.

Being new and all, I wasn't quite sure what to use as a logbook. I came
across a zippered 6-hole daytimer-like binder. I punched my own sheets from
cardstock to fit in it (as a bonus I found a Stickapotomous zippered pouch
to keep my stamp and a mini-pad in the front of it. I really like it
because I can add or remove sheets at will, including my stamped pages which
I leave at home to keep them clean when I go out.
In other news...I heard a local Omaha paper ran an article about
letterboxing. Anyone see it?? My friend is going to send it to me. If
it's any good should I scan and post it in the files or something???

I started out with a strathmore pocket size spiral notebook as a log,
but the cover quickly fell off it. So I cut out the stamps and put
them into another book. Some were stamped front and back (duh!) so I
taped a "flap" thingy so you can lift it and see both sides. I
thought about scrapbooking them (my other hobby!) but really, with 12
scrapbooks and a neverending supply of photos already-do I need one
more!?
Now the logs of boxes, I might. My dad just picked up 2 logs from
boxes in Washington for me and I may scrap those in a small book, but
who knows. I kind of hate to rip up the original book, though.

We bought little notebooks at Target that are a great size and have a
soft plastic type cover. We stamp the stamp on the front side of tha
page and then I print out the clues, which I attach under the stamp. On
the back of the page, we attach a picture of the kids stamping in. When
the book fills, we will start a new book and keep these for memory.
As for LB logs... not sure what we will do with those... good question

I too used an old six ring planner and card stock cut to fit. I
printed a border with information box at the bottom of the page.
After our first mini meet I found real quick my original book wasn't
big enough. So now I just add and remove at will.
